Below you can find a description of the experiences I had, dealing with various companies, related to folding knives. Overall grade is meant with 5 being excellent and 0 being ... the worst. Please note that some of the things mentioned, are time-specific, this is my experience as of today :

1. Emerson Knives Inc. : The company's customer service has to be contacted by phone. They just do not read their e-mails. Apart from that, when they learned about my problems, they replaced my knife, so I can't complain.
Overall grade : 2

2. KnifeCenter.Com : An Internet cutlery retailer. Very good service, very quick responce (if your order does not include any rare items, it is shipped within a day or two) and they have almost everything the market has to offer. Customers outside USA have to be carefull, as KnifeCenter.Com does not accept foreign credit card orders, if the amount is greater than 200 US$.
Overall grade : 4

3. SOG Knives : Surprisingly responsive. I wrote to them with a question, and I received an answer within a few hours. The person who answered was very cooperative, spending quite some time on my subject, even though I explained that all I wanted to order was a 47 US$ folder. The red Autoclip I got is a lovely knife, quite good for the money.

4. Taylor Cutlery : Excellent support. This is the company making S&W knives, and they stand behind their products 100%.
Overall grade : 5

5. Cold Steel : Good support, although a bit slow. it took them a week to answer an e-mail.
Overall grade : 3

6. True North Knives : This is an Internet knife shop, with excellent, personal service. It is from this company that I bought my Lightfoot 458 Magnum Millenium Tanto. Neil Ostroff, the president and owner of the company, is a great person to do business with.

7. ENEDRA (Ambush, in Greek) : One of the few shops in Greece, which imports interesting knives. They have an extensive collection of Benchmades, CRKTs and also several from an Italian company called "Fox". Their web site is not on-line yet, but they are very friendly and knowledgeable.
Overall grade : 5

8. Masters of Defense : One of the few companies, which is not afraid to put their product to real-world tests. They responded to our request, without a second thought. I wish I could say the same for other knife manufacturers.
Overall grade : 5

9. Emergency Options : An Internet knives shop, with a wide selection and a very personal and friendly attitude. Prices are great and shipment is fast. What else can a customer ask for?
Overall grade : 5

10. KOPIS : I believe this is the only specialized shop in Athens, which sells nothing but cutlery. The owner is friendly, and when he promises something, you can be sure he will get it for you. Something I appreciate in a businessman. Nice work guys.
